Perhaps the greatest shock to someone who’s been married for the past 25 years or so is how much the dating scene has changed. It used to be that only “losers” had to look online for a mate. So what advice would you give to a woman who’s newly divorced? Try to come to terms with the very real fact that your nuclear family will never be the same. Once he started his affairs just last summer , these visits wreaked havoc on my emotional state. I could not face my own fear of divorce. During this time of separation, I also renewed a lost love of mine who was divorced himself.
Do not start a new relationship at all until you have healed inside. This lost love got so fed up with me that we “broke up” even though I was not legally single. Needless to say, I suffered twice the pain.
Recently Divorced Dating
It makes a lot of sense when you see it from their side. People need love, or at least some contact. Eventually, we told them, and about 2 years later our divorce was final….. Maybe they just want fun, sex, and a break from the bleakness.

My 1st marriage ended in divorce because both of us were too young to be married and he couldn’t seperate from his mom and dad Now 3rd time is a charm Yes, that is why I said it would give me “pause”. I didn’t say “dealbreaker”. I didn’t say “I would never marry someone who was divorced twice”. I said it would give me pause. It would make me look VERY closely at the situation.
One has to be in the relationship and see how the divorces are handled, discussed etc. Someone saying “My 1st marriage ended because we were both too young and not ready” is a perfectly good explanation, showing learning from the situation ie-“we were both too young”.
